Organization is a vital part of scrapbooking because of the small pieces and reusable items. Without some type of organizing system it makes the scrapbooking time more of a hassle and sometimes even hinders the progress of the session. There are many tools and tips that can be used to help keep everything in order and appropriately placed. One of the best things about staying organized is that it doesn’t have to cost an arm and leg! Just about any storage container can be used to keep the scrapper organized and right on track!

What about using that old tackle box, waiting in the attic for the next garage sale? Or maybe those glass jars under the cabinet, just collecting dust. There are plenty of available organizers that are meant especially for scrapbooking supplies, but there are also many that can be used just as effectively. A tackle box is a great way to keep small pieces separated into their own compartment. Where those tiny hooks use to sit, now small pieces, objects and tools can line them, keeping the tools as well as supplies proudly displayed.

Glass jars make good storage containers for larger items like ribbons, tape, glue and other adhesives. The lid also makes it convenient to store, so that everything doesn’t fall out every time it is off the shelf. Paper organizers can be makeshift boxes, trays or just about anything flat, in fact many keep different sizes readily available for those special layout pages. It really doesn’t matter whether a person uses the store bought organizers or a homemade recycled one, just as long as they can get to their stuff without a hassle. Scrapbooking is meant to be fun, not frustrating while looking for supplies!
